Med-Flight Resumes 24-Hour Operations Following Temporary Reduction in Operational Hours

Chesterfield, VA – Med-Flight, the emergency medical services provider operated by the Virginia State Police in partnership with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, is excited to announce the return of 24-hour operations for EMS Med-Flight 1, effective immediately.

Due to a pilot staffing shortage, Med-Flight temporarily reduced coverage hours. However, the administration at Med-Flight expresses their appreciation for the understanding and patience shown by their partners during this time.

With the recruitment of experienced and trained pilots, Med-Flight 1 is prepared to resume 24/7/365 coverage. All personnel and emergency communication centers are encouraged to resume their normal operating procedures when requesting Med-Flight 1.

For any operational questions or concerns, please contact Lt. Gregory Jones or First Sgt Jeff Weber with Med-Flight 1.
