The Regional Performance Improvement (PI) Program is a cooperative effort within the 9,000-square-mile Old Dominion EMS Alliance area. Its primary goal is to maintain a regional program and process by which data will be collected and evaluated to help pre-hospital and hospital agencies improve the trauma and medical emergent care rendered to critically injured or critically ill patients throughout the Region.
The Performance Improvement Committee is comprised of representatives of acute care hospitals and prehospital agencies in the ODEMSA Region. Included are the volunteer and career EMS systems in the four local EMS Sub-Councils that encompass ODEMSA: Southside (PD-13), South Central (PD-14), Metro Richmond (PD-15) and Crater (PD-19).
