Board of Directors

The Board is comprised of representatives from hospital and prehospital EMS agencies from the four Planning Districts that make up the ODEMSA region. Each Planning District’s local EMS Sub-Council elects two representatives to the Board. The Board also includes the four Sub-Council Presidents, the Region’s Medical Director, a Law Enforcement Officer and ODEMSA’s Executive Director.

The Board of Directors provide guidance and overall direction to ODEMSA and its staff to achieve ODEMSA’s goals. The goals include providing effective coordination, evaluation, guidance, planning, training and continuing education for the Central Virginia EMS System. The Board also serves as a forum for hospital and prehospital agencies to address issues and solve problems that affect the delivery of emergency patient care.
