FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Glen Allen, VA — The Old Dominion EMS Alliance (ODEMSA) is excited to announce the inaugural Siren Slam Cornhole Tournament for Heroes, taking place on November 18th, 2023, at the NES Cornhole Lounge (NESCornholeLounge.com) in Glen Allen, VA. This event promises a day of friendly competition, exciting games, and plenty of fun for participants of all ages.
Event check-in and registration starts at 10:00 AM and tournament play begins at 11:00 AM. Located at 2443 Old Brick Road, Glen Allen, VA, NES Cornhole Lounge will serve as the battleground for this exciting double-elimination cornhole tournament with blind draw for team pairings.
The primary goal of the Siren Slam Cornhole Tournament for Heroes is to raise funds for the Old Dominion EMS Alliance (ODEMSA), a vital organization that supports EMS services throughout the ODEMSA Region, which encompasses a 9,000-square-mile area in Virginia. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit ODEMSA, contributing to the enhancement of EMS programs, services, planning, and committees.
This event is more than just a cornhole tournament; it’s a day of community and celebration. There will be food, beer, games, and raffles to enjoy. For those who want to test their cornhole skills, the tournament offers cash prizes for the top three teams. If you prefer not to compete, you can still have a blast with unique specialty games and open play for all ages.
The unique specialty games promise excitement and laughter for everyone. The “Gurney Games” provide a unique twist on cornhole, as contestants lie on an ambulance stretcher and take their shot at victory. “Trauma Toss Turmoil” is a thrilling challenge where contestants are blindfolded and spun around before attempting to toss bean bags onto a cornhole board.
Registration is open for tournament players, and you can register in advance at odemsa.net/throw or at the door for $40 per player. There’s also a $25 cover fee for those not participating in the tournament, granting access to all other events except the main competition.
ODEMSA invites potential sponsors to be a part of this exciting event. You can support the cause by sponsoring a lane or a game or becoming a general event sponsor.
